Some of the more popular festivals in the Caribbean are celebrated here.

• Jazz Festival - This is one of the most famous and popular music festivals in the Caribbean. Famous Jazz musicians from around the world converge to St. Lucia along with Jazz fans in the month of May. Venues are held in clubs, open air stages and at Pigeon Island. • Country Music Festival - That's right the pine trees of Nashville blend in with the swaying palm trees of St. Lucia for 3 exciting days in December. Pigeon Island plays host to some of the brightest country western musicians. Contact the St. Lucia Tourist Board at (800.456.3984)
• Carnival - Is celebrated two days before Ash Wednesday in Febuary. Enjoy the color and and energy of costumed dancers, musicians, artists and the street grills offering great food amidst beauty contests, music competitions and parades.
